JP is a 3-year-old white Husky-Sammy mix who was hit by a truck when he was 6 months old. One of his legs wasn't treated properly and needed to be amputated. Now he needs surgery on his other foot which was also not treated properly. He is with a rescue group in North Carolina and Carol Hjort has been in touch with that group and JP's foster family. JP is a sweet and smart boy who gets along with other dogs, cats and people. Once he gets treated he is a great candidate for adoption. His all-breed rescue group has been doing a ton of fundraisers to pay for his treatment; and they are getting a good discount from their orthopedic vet. JP's foster dad has also been doing fundraisers including collecting cans for his treatment!
