Sara is a 2-3 yr old Samoyed that was rescued from a shelter in California by Shellie Pyles. She was strongly heartworm positive.
Many wonderful people donated money through SamUrgency to help pay for Sara's treatment but before her treatment started, she was adopted by a family who wanted to pay for her treatment themselves. The donors requested that the money that was raised be used to help other SamUrgency dogs.
Shellie's Introduction of Sara
Sara is THE dog that EVERYONE wants. She's outgoing yet demure, sweet, friendly, very quiet, beautiful, she is passive and gets along with all other dogs. She even ignores cats and is good with kids. Obviously, she has that Sammy beauty down pat. She's housetrained and great on a leash and in the car. Other than needing a spay and heartworm treatment, she's great.

Shellie's Sara Update - June 23
Sara is no longer in Rescue! She's with her new family -- Mom, Dad and three great kids -- heading out to the family cabin on the lake just north of our home. When her new dad got here, I couldn't even pry him away from her, he hugged and hugged her. He said that he hasn't hugged a Sammy for two years and he had a lot of lost time to make up for. Sniff...
To our friends, SamUrgency and their supporters, Sara will not be needing the generous donations offered in her behalf -- her new mom and dad choose to incur that expense themselves and leave the funds available for other SamUrgenc-ies. We couldn't be happier or more proud of this family. When Sara jumped into the van to go Bye Bye, the expression on her face was of sheer bliss and happieness -- there was light shining brightly in those eyes -- and in my heart. So, we said Goodbye, but really it was a Hello from her to her new life.
Thank you all for your support for Sara's special need.
