Toughy is a 3-year-old male who was surrendered to the Sheriff's department due to owner's neglect. He is currently in foster care and is undergoing heartworm treatment. He is doing well with the other dogs and has a great prognosis for a healthy life as soon as the heartworm is gone!
April 2006 Update:
I am pleased to report that Tuffy is absolutely wonderful!! He was placed into his loving forever home with his brother Jazz, and Tuffy is fully recovered and healthy from his heartworm treatment. HUGE THANKS to SamUrgency for being there for Tuffy in his time of need!
Those 2 boys made a major transformation last year and I have to say it was one of my proudest days in dog rescue to deliver them to their caring adoptive family! And to hear that they are continuously learning & growing and giving their family love & laughs is so beautiful!
Here is a note from Tuffy's family: Just wanted to let you know the boys are still doing fine. We love them so much! After Tuffy comes inside from being let out in the morning, he flies into our bedroom and hops in bed with us ( I think he likes the heated blanket on a cool morning). They are both nuts about riding in the car!
